Motor inhibitor wire that connects from the brake lever to the front wire harness on Surface 604 eBikes. When you pull the brake lever, this wire signals the controller to cut motor power instantly — a critical safety feature that prevents the motor from fighting the brakes.

Works on all 2020 and newer Surface 604 models except mid-drive bikes. If your motor does not cut off when you brake, this wire or the brake lever switch is likely the issue.
