We started spec'ing T4B because customers kept walking in with two questions: “What's the cheapest good bike you carry?” and “Why does the same component package cost so much more under a name brand?”
T4B is our answer. We pick the same motors, batteries, brakes and drivetrains that the major importers use — Bafang, Shimano, Tektro, Samsung-cell batteries — and put them on frames we've ridden, vetted and warrantied for two years. Without a distributor and reseller markup between us and the factory, the bike lands on the showroom at 25–41% under comparable retail.
Every T4B eBike is assembled, torque-checked, road-tested and tuned by our mechanics before it goes home. 3-year frame warranty and 1-year electronics warranty — handled in-house, not through a depot. Cross-shopped the KABAN against a name-brand fat tire that was $1,200 more. Same Bafang 750W, same Tektro hydraulics, same Shimano 8-speed. The frame is honest aluminum, not magic. eBC's mechanics built it up, torqued everything, and rode it before I picked it up. Two months of NW pathway riding and I can't find what I'm supposedly missing.

Was budgeted for $2k and walked out with the Hiko for $1,299 plus a helmet they threw in. Hardtail, 500W rear hub, real hydraulic discs. Took it on the Sage Hill ravine trails the next weekend and it handled everything I pointed it at. Not a Specialized, but I didn't pay Specialized prices.
Bought the TWISTER folding fat tire to take on the highway to Okotoks and ride into Calgary on the pathway. Folds into my Mazda3 hatchback with the seats down. One rear brake squealed for the first 50 km — bedding in, eBC said, and they were right. Otherwise excellent. Knocking one star because the bell that came pre-installed broke in the first week.
